Your filters are the first line of defense for clean water — a neglected filter is the single most common cause of cloudy water, weak circulation, and sanitizer that doesn't seem to be working.
Rinse weekly with a garden hose (more often with heavy use). It's not necessary to drain the spa to do this.
Deep clean every 4–6 weeks with SpaGuard Filter Cleaner to strip out oils and embedded contaminants a hose rinse alone won't remove.
Clean before every drain and refill.
Replace annually under normal use (semi-annually for swim spas), or sooner if a filter looks worn or isn't cleaning effectively anymore — ask us if you're not sure.
To remove: locate the filter housing, unscrew, lift out. To reinstall: line back up and hand-tighten. Never force it.
